Orme Park Bridge

This is a Oil Plein Air piece I did of the bridge in the park that Ebba (our Airedale) go to on a daily bases. Always takes me a while to publish an oil painting, since I find it hard not to get a glare on them. The Orme Park Bridge was built I believe in the early part of the 1900's. It is a neighborhood park with a stream running through it; it is like being up in the mountains. I can let Ebba off her lease so she gets to enjoy a wild run in the woods. I think this park is one reason we still live here. It is kind of unusual to have such a treasure living in a big city. Ebba is the forth Airedale of our that has been able to enjoy this park.

Sanctuary

This is a water color of a Cardinal that was taking Sanctuary in my back yard over the Hydrangea Vines that cover this old shed in the back garden. The Cardinals have taken up residence in the garden; I think we have about four families which is a bet unusual. It has been wonderful to watch them in all their stages; of course the garden with running water and food is a perfect Sanctuary for any bird or animal.
