This was my basic layout from a life model in an open studio. Size is 16 by 20 and it is a pastel.




I tried to work on it while I was teaching class, but it just not working with all the interruptions.  I was playing it by ear, hoping the students would pick up on some of the process I go threw to produce a piece.

I ended up finishing it up in my studio, where I could work and concentrate.  It really didn't take me very long at all.  I wanted to keep the movement in the finished piece.  Remembering what your after and quiting when you have got it, I find is one of the hardest thing for students to learn.
